He blamed Congress for the political deadlock in the State today, even as party workers cheered him with slogans. “The entire administrative machinery has come to a stand-still. BJP has never been after power. We have the mandate to form government. The Governor should immediately invite BJP to form government. The time has come for President’s rule to make way for a popular government,” he said.
Party leader Ananth Kumar and party president D V Sadananda Gowda, addressing party workers from all over the State, said a BJP-JD(S) government would be formed in the next few days. “Mahatma Gandhi had fought the British autocratic rule. Today Congress has donned the role of the British and is opposing other parties elected through a democratic process,” they said.
