Workshop on HIV
 A workshop to discuss and deliberate on the theme 'HIV/AIDS - Vulnerability of Industry in Karnataka' was jointly organised by FICCI, FKCCI and Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce  on Saturday.
S M Afsar, Technical specialist (HIV/AIDS South Asia), ILO said India is estimated to suffer a loss of over 1% of its national GDP by 2015 due to HIV-AIDS by the National Council of Applied Economic Research .
Companies should come forward to implement work place HIV-AIDS awareness programmes with multi-sectoral partnerships at work places to combat the  disease, said Sanjay Chagnanti, programme director of PSI-Connect, a public private partnership in HIV-AIDS.
