According to a CBI release, HAL had lodged a criminal case on October 25 against Ravi Krishna, proprietor of Metalloys, and unknown officials of HAL.
The release said that though HAL had clearly stated that suppliers should directly deal with it and no agent was involved, Metalloys had sent a letter to a company in France stating that all quotations are to be sent to it. After this, the French firm had sent its quotation to Metalloys.
CBI raided Metalloys office at No C-1, Soubhagya Apartments on 80 Feet Road in HAL 3rd Stage. It also raided the office and residential premises of HAL purchase officer C N Nanjappa after Ravi Krishna had named him as his contact person. Computers, bank pass books and other documents were seized during the search.
Cab driver robbed
Four unidentified persons robbed a call centre cab driver and sped away with an SUV worth Rs 5.5 lakh in Iblur, in HSR police station limits, on Monday morning.
According to the police, Jagadish, the call centre cab driver, dropped the employees in Banashankari and was returning when the incident occurred.
