Two women robbed

Two unidentified persons robbed a woman of her gold chain worth Rs 50,000 on Monday in HAL police  station limits. According to the police, Devi (34) was taking her morning walk near her house  in Prakashnagar when the two came on a motorbike, snatched her chain and fled away.

In another incident, a woman was robbed of her gold chain worth Rs 25,000 in Mico Layout police station limits on Saturday. According to the police, Geetha was crossing the road when an unidentified person snatched her gold chain and ran away.

Mason attacked

A mason sustained injuries when his ‘friend’ assaulted him in Hebbal police station limits on Saturday evening. He has been identified as Ravichandran, a resident of Ayyappa Block in M Dasarahalli. He was rushed to the hospital.
According to the police, Ravichandran and  his friend Mahendra had differences over some financial matters. Both had an argument over the issue on Saturday. When Ravichandran was walking near his house, Mahendra assaulted him and ran away.

One injured in accident

A 55-year-old woman sustained serious injuries when a BMTC bus knocked her down in Banashankari traffic police station limits on Monday morning. Jayalakshmi was trying to cross the road near Kadirenahalli Park when the incident occurred. The bus driver is said to be absconding. A search in on for the driver.

Housewife ends life

A woman committed suicide by hanging at her Domlur Layout residence on Sunday. She has been identified as Chandrakala (28). Her husband, Srinivasa, is a government employee. She is survived by two sons. Domestic problems made her take this step.

House burgled

The residence of Mukbul Basha, a Deccan Herald staffer and a resident of Kasturi Nagar, was burgled at Ramamurthy Nagar police station limits.

The residents were away when the incident took place. When they returned in the evening, they found the door broken pen and 50 gm of gold, 70 gm of silver and Rs 4,800 in cash stolen.
