First year PU student committed suicide by hanging in BCM hostel as he was disillusioned with life here on Sunday.
 
The dead has been identified as Harishkumar (17) of Verravuttanahalli.  The incident came to light when his roommate found him hanging in the room.  The roommate informed other hostellers soon.

Visit

Police visited the spot and examined the incident. The body was given to relatives of Harish after the post mortem.

Hearing this, Taluk Panchayat President C R Yuvaraj, Taluk Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Ramakrishnappa, Backward Class and Minority Department District Officer Allabhakash also visited the spot.

According to sources Harish was not mingling with others for the past one month. He is a student of Mahila Samaja Pre-university college.

The reason for the suicide is not  yet known. Kolar City Police Circle Inspector B N Krishnamurthy visited the spot. The Police have registered a complaint and the investigation is on.
