Sandesha Foundation for Culture and Education will organise ‘Kalotsava 2007,’ a children’s festival of arts and communication skills at Sandesha premises in Bajjodi Mangalore.
Addressing a news conference on Monday, Sandesha Director Fr Francis Lewis said that the programme will be inaugurated by Mangalore Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza on November 12.
He said that the competition such as western singing (solo), western instrumental (keyboard/solo), drawing, classical singing, carnatic/hindustani (solo), classical dance (solo), folk song (group), folk dance (group), patriotic song (group) and variety entertainment will be held which will be open for higher primary, high school and PUC students for participation.
Drawing, singing and fancy dress competitions will be held for the mentally and physically disabled children on November 14 as a part of Children’s day celebrations.
Karnataka Bank Chairman Ananthakrishna will preside over the valedictory programme to be held on November 17. Inspector General of Police (western range) A M Prasad will be the chief guest.
