District Crime Investigation Bureau (DCIB) has arrested two persons who were involved in vehicle lifting and selling them by creating fake registration numbers on Monday and recovered Rs 2 lakh worth four motor cycles.
S Syed Altaf of Suntikoppa and Muheeb Sharief of Chamarajanagar are the arrested. Charishma Honda and Hero Honda one each and two Pulsar two-wheelers and mobile phones have been seized.
One Humayun, a resident of Chamarajanagar district had been lifting vehicles from various places and passing them on to these accused for selling. Working on a tip off, the DCIB police arrested them at Suntikoppa.
DCIB Inspector B Ramachandra and personnel had taken part in the operation. District SP Dr K V Trilokchandra has appreciated the act and announced prizes.
