Soviet Landing On Planets Soon
Moscow, Nov. 5.
Russian scientists and engineers are developing missiles which will be able to land safety on un-explored planets, the official Soviet news agency, Tass, said today. Tass, quoting an article by scientist Nikolayev, said the missiles would be manned. It said the crew would “have to move about in conditions of weightlessness with the help of rocket pistols.”
Jain Presents Pathetic Picture
New Delhi, Nov. 5.
The contingency of India having to eat into her food reserves early next year was forecast by Mr A P Jain, Union Food and Agriculture Minister in his address to the conference of the food and agriculture organisation in Rome today. Mr Jain, presented a graphic picture of the country’s problems.

Sethi Renews Appeal To Akalis

New Delhi, Nov. 5.
Union Home Minister P C Sethi told the Rajya Sabha today that the Prime Minister was always prepared to hold discussions with Akali leaders provided they came to Delhi for talks. And before such a meeting could be arranged, it was necessary that the proper atmosphere be created for it.
