At the time of the BJP and JD(S) forming a coalition government in Karnataka, Mr.Deve Gowda the President of that party had written to Mr.Krishna, the Speaker of Karnataka Assembly that he should disqualify all the 40 JD(S) MLAs who joined hands with the BJP to form the coalition as the Party JD(S) was against such an understanding. He had written specifically that as these members have gone against the party order not to associate with the BJP, they should be disqualified as MLAs.
But the Speaker did not take any action at that time. It is not still late for him to decide on Deve Gowda's letter and disqualify all the JD(S) MLAs for defying their president and the party with retrospective effect.
If the Speaker takes this letter seriously, then all the JD(S) MLAs including Kumaraswamy would cease to be MLAs. Then you know the consequences!.Mr. Yeddyurappa will be back as CM!.
