Aussie series helped: Dhoni
Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni attributed India's dominance over Pakistan to the tough one-day series against Australia.
Dhoni's India win first round
Chasing a tricky 240 to win, Indian batsmen paced their chase to a nicety, overhauling the target in 47 overs losing five wickets. A measured 83 from Mohammad Yousuf was the cornerstone of Pakistan's 239 for seven in the full quota of overs after skipper Shoaib Malilk elected to bat.
Fielding made the difference, says Malik
"The difference between the two teams was the dropped catches. Kamran Akmal couldn't judge the catches and if he had taken them, the result would have been totally different. Fielding let us down on the day," lamented Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik.
RANJI TROPHY / Karnataka finish day three on a satisfactory note
Dravid, Pawan stage fightback
Karnataka, who rode on R Vinay Kumar's incisive burst with the second new ball to dismiss Mumbai for 337 inside the first hour, will go into Tuesday's play 53 runs to the good, KB Pawan and Rahul Dravid both eyeing individual milestones in the shape of first-class centuries.
Indians blank Saudi
India took a big step towards qualification for the Asian Football Confederation under-16 football tournament final rounds with a 3-0 victory over hosts Saudi Arabia at Dammam.
