Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Archbishop of Bangalore and KRCBC President Bernard Moras said the congress would help spreading the message of Christ through Christian educational institutions, hospitals,  for cancer, leprosy and HIV infected patients.  The Congress  will host over 1,200 participants from the 11 Catholic dioceses of Karnataka. It will be inaugurated by Cardinal-designate Oswald Gracias,  Archbishop of Mumbai and president of the Conference of Catholic Bishops in India.
