On October 24, Mohammad Jain (18), son of Mohammad Usman was admitted to the government hospital who complained of a wound on his back. The doctors advised for a surgery, but due to excess of anaesthetics, he died before the treatment, alleged the parents of the boy and said that stringent action should be taken against the doctors responsible for the death of the boy.

In a press note, the parents of the boy stated that, though the wound was not a serious one, due to the apathy of Dr Siddalingappa and other doctors, he died.

The doctors in the hospital had also tried to close the case with the help of other staffs in the hospital, they alleged. He had no other serious health problems before, they added.

Zilla Panchayat President Chikkanarasimhaiah and Member of Legislative Assembly S M Muniyappa who visited the hospital assured of taking suitable action.

Justification

Meanwhile, Dr Siddalingaiah and Dr Lakshmi have said that the boy died after the surgery and denied of any negligence towards the treatment of the boy.
