One month time sought to begin demolition drive
DH News Service, Bidar:

The district administration has to provide one month time to wind up their business activities at Basvakalyan Town, this was urged by Basvakalyan Taluk MLA Mallikarjun Khoba after submitting a letter to the Deputy Commissioner in support of his demands here on Monday, while he was addressing press persons in the city.

He said that due to border area there were lack of employment opportunities in that part of the area, there may be chances of that large number of people would lose their employment in the drive.

So keeping humanitarian approach towards this problem a proper time should be allowed for business community and people engaged in the occupation, to take up next source of employment, he added.

He demanded that administration should give  first priority to the main roads which  are 60 feet wide in out skirts  area of the town, and with this relief time will get to the petty and marginal business men  to wind up their activity in the old city area which is said to come under the drive.

With this district administration should take people into confidence before taking any such measures because people of the town are very much in favour of the drive, who have already shown support and cooperation in this regards already, he added.

On the occasion he alleged that officials concerned in the taluk is not addressing the grievances of the common man who are paying visit to the offices for their services, there were lot of complaints found that officials are harassing for issuing the Widow pension, old age pension, ration cards, “I brought this matter to the notice of Deputy Commissioner  and drew the attention of the administration towards such issues, so far he said only concentrating on the demolition drive activities.”

With this he raised the question? of, a channel of proper correspondence is missing on the administration part.

So far the MLAs of the district doesn't know whether they should take part in the inauguration and foundation  stone laying ceremonies for already sanctioned developmental works, or elected representatives are entitled to chair the KDB meetings in the taluk  during the  suspended animation  period of assembly, so he urged the administration to come clear on the issues, in which district administration has replied of no knowledge in this regards he added.
