Federation of Gulbarga Co-oeprative Milk Producers Associations has scoffed off rumours that the Federation was set to increase the price of Nandini brand milk supplied in Gulbarga and Bidar districts.
Federation Executive Director said certain michief mongers have been spreading rumours about the increase in Nandini milk price and has asked people not give any credence to rumours.
An official release by the Gulbarga Milk Union Limited (GUMUL) said Nandini milk and milk poducts were being sold at the prescribed rates and people should buy them at the prescribed rates only.
The rates of different products of GUMUL are: Nandini toned milk-Rs 16 per litre, Rs 8 for 500 ml; and Rs 3.50 for 200 ml. Nandini standard milk-Rs 9 for 500 ml; Nandini curds-Rs 8.50 for 500 ml packet, the press release stated.
