One women was killed and seven others injured in Junagadh district of Gujarat as two earthquakes rocked Saurashtra region on Tuesday. The first quake which measured 4.8 on the Richter Scale lasted for six seconds with epicentre at Sasan Gir in Junagadh district and affected Hiranvale, Hirapur and Chitravad villages.

The second quake which was experienced at 3.00 pm affected parts of Rajkot city and Bhavnagar district.

Tremors were also felt at Ahmedabad. Junagadh district administration is assessing the damages caused by the quake.
