CRICKET: After drawing first blood at Guwahati, India will be looking forward to cash in on that success when they take on Pakistan in the second one-dayer which will be played under lights at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. The third one-dayer of the five-match series will be held in Kanpur on Sunday.

Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan will be looking to displace Shane Warne as the leading wicket-taker when the two-Test series against Australia begins at the Gabba in Brisbane on Thursday.

South Africa-New Zeland Test series begins in Johannesburg on Thursday.

SOCCER: UEFA Cup group stage matches will be held on Wednesday.

TENNIS: WTA Championship ends on Sunday in Madrid.

BASKETBALl: Even as the ‘A’ Division League continues, the Association Cup tournament begins at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on November 12.
