While many were optimistic the green signal would come shortly from the Centre to form the coalition government, some still had doubts. “Anything can happen. There are 50:50 chances, especially in the wake of Governor expressing doubts over stability of the government,” was the view of some legislators of both parties.
So anxious were these MLAs to know the latest developments in Delhi that some, when contacted on their trip, in turn, asked: “When is the Union Cabinet meeting?” “Is Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs meeting today?”
What do you think would happen?”
Despite Thursday being Deepavali festival, majority of MLAs of the combine are staying in Bangalore so they can get the latest information on developments in Delhi.
“We will wait till Thursday. If the Centre fails to take any decision, we will go back to our constituencies,” the MLAs said.
