The High Court has confirmed five years’ jail term for Mahadevaswamy, a resident of Hosamalangi village, Kollegal taluk, for raping a co-villager.

Justice H V G Ramesh confirmed the order of conviction and sentence passed in March 2002 by Principal Sessions Judge, Mysore, while dismissing Mahadevaswamy’s appeal.
