Common man the loser
Bangalore, DHNS:

 The big-gest drawback of president’s rule, according to sources, is that all doors of the government are closed to the common man.

“Elected representatives are the interface between the people and the government. In their absence, there is no scope for people to approach anybody,” the sources added.

Another drawback of the system is that the ruling political party at the Centre can have its say in the State’s administration. For instance, the Congress may influence the UPA government at the Centre into appointing officials who are sympathetic to the party as Advisors.

The party may also influence the governor into taking decisions that may politically benefit it, the sources explained.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary P B Mahishi met Governor Rameshwar Thakur at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday and held talks about the administration.

Legislative Council Cha-irman B K Chandrashekar also called on the governor in the evening.

PR facts
* Governor runs the administration.
* He will be assisted by three Advisors.
* All departments are distributed among Advisors.
* Policy decisions will be taken in the name of Governor.
* No access to common man.
