Dr S M Bhaskarchar has been selected as the Sammelan president. The programme will begin at 7.30 am on that day. Chairman of the welcome committee Rudresh will hoist the flag. S Ramalingaiah will hoist the rural flag. The flag of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat will be hoisted by the president N R Sadanand.

The chief guests at the programme will be M Mallikarjunaiah, S D Rajashekar, M Shivaramaiah and Pramila Jagadish. Later, the Sammelana president led by the folk troupes will be taken out in procession beginning from the Anjaneyaswami temple.

The procession will be inaugurated by Prof D Chandrappa at 8 am. The chief guests will be Ravishanker, P Sheshadri, Lingapa and K N Siddalingaswamy.

The Sammelan inauguration will be held at Veechi auditorium and D Siddalingaiah forum at 10 am. Sri Atavi Shivalinga Swami will grace the occasion. Former minister Rani Satish will inaugurate. M G Siddaramaih will deliver the inaugural address. MP S Mallikarjuaniah will release the commemorative volume. Jarganahalli Shivashanker and Kavita Krishna will deliver the main address.

C V Mahadevaiah, Dr M R Hulinayakar, Gollallaih R Gangadharaiah will be the chief guests. K N Rajanna will preside.

Uniquness
The uniqueness of the Sammelan is after the inaugural programme a seminar on agriculture will be held. B Umesh and Kundaranahalli Ramesh will present papers on agriculture and irrigation problems and solutions respectively. Neelakantamurthy will preside over the seminar. A literary seminar will be held at 2.30 pm and Dr D N Yogesh will preside. Muddenahalli Nanjaiah, B C Shyla Nagaraju and Dr B Nanjundaswamy will present papers.

The valedictory function will be held at 4 pm. Chadrashekar Swamiji will preside. Dr Bhaskarachar will deliver the presidential address. Sogadu Shivanna will honour him. Prof Siddaramaiah will deliver the valedictory address. Muddenehalli Nanjaiah will preside.
