The tenth athletics championship of the Visvesvaraya Technological University which was to be held at Tiptur has been postponed indefinitely, said Kalpataru Technological Institute administrative committee president S Basavaiah.

The Kalpataru educational institution had made all arrangements to conduct the athletics championship. The event which was to be begin on September 27 had been postponed due to some reasons to the first week of this month. But due to some technical problems and the rainy season it has once again been postponed, directed VTU vice chancellor.

70 colleges had already sent their entries to participate in the event and the remaining 40 colleges were expected to send their entries soon. It is really sad that the athletics event is postponed at this stage.

The institute was looking forward to hold the event after making all arrangements, said Basavaiah at a press conference. K E T principal was also present.
