Gururao Deshpande Sangeeth Sabha Bangalore and Sangeeth Bharati Foundation Mangalore, as a part of silver jubilee celebration of Gururao Deshpande Sangeeth Sabha will organsie a musical evening at Ravindra Kala Bhavan, University College Hampankatta, on October 13 at 5.30 pm.

Addressing a news conference, Sangeeth Bharathi Vice-President Narendra Naik said that Sameer L Rao, the disciple of Pt Hariprasad Chaurasia on flute and vocalist Pt Balchandra Nakod will enthrall the music lovers. They will be accompanied by Satyavijaya Bhat and Raghavendra Nakod on Tabla and Narendra Naik on Harmonium.

Karnataka Bank Chairman Ananthakrishna will be the chief guest. Gururao Deshpande Sangeeth Sabha was started in 1982 by renowned musican Pt Vinayak Torvi in memory of his guru Gayanacharaya Gururao Deshpande. All night music mehfils, Malhar Sangeeth Ursav, Dharwad Sangeet Itsav, Youth festival are some of the activities of the Sabha.
