The JD(S) will hold awareness jaatha to inform people that H D Kumaraswamy broke promises to maintain communal harmony in the State and not for his personal gain, from November 1 onwards in every hobli headquarters in Chikmagalur.

Addressing a press meet, JD(S) district President H T Rajendra said BJP is spreading rumours against former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.

JD(S) leaders H D Deve Gowda and H D Kumaraswamy did not transfer power to BJP to maintain harmony in the State. The Congress and BJP are responsible for President’s rule in the State. These political parties should be held responsible for poor developmental works in the State.

Stating that Mutts should work for the welfare of the society, he said BJP is using it for its gain. Mr Rajendra said district administration should not give permission for holding Shobhayathre in Dutta peeta. Instead it should be bind to follow the court order. Mr Kumaraswamy had showed his secular stand by arresting BJP leaders during Duttamala abhiyana last year.
