We have not supported Naxals: Tribal leader
Koppa, DHNS:

“We have not supported Naxals in the past nor we will support them in the future. We have only tried to find solutions to the problems being faced by the tribals of Kudremukh National Park limits through people’s movement,” said Tribal leader Kempegowda.  Speaking at a contact programme in Menasinahadya organised by SP Viphul Kumar, he said ‘“people can not live in this region if police encounter repeats. We have been fighting for people’s rights for the past several years. We do not seek Naxals support even in the future.”

SP Viphul Kumar said the peace in the district has been disturbed due to Dutta peeta issue and Naxal problem.
“We do not want the help of Andhra’s Naxals to solve the problems of the people,” he said and added: “Ammadlu encounter was an unfortunate incident. We will see that it will be not repeated.” Villagers submitted a memorandum seeking title deeds, electricity, road, bridge, ration card, Ashrama school etc.
