CAMPS & WORKSHOPS

Adventure camp
Nature Admire presents three day adventure camp for children  from 13 to 15 October at Makalidurga and Kemmanagundi on 20 to 23 October . The activities includes trekking, rappelling, navigation, river crossing, bullock cart ride, camping, organic farming etc. A 2 day trekking and rafting camp is also organised on 20, 21 October at ‘Muttai- Bhimeshwari’.

Dassara art classes
The structural School of Fine Arts will be conducting Dassara Art classes for children above 4 years in dramatics, boldness, memory power, drawing, craft and spoken english for 10 days from 12th to 21st at Vijayaranga Hall, Vijayanagar and Herohalli near Sunkadakatte. Workshop for children

Baking, chocolate workshop
A two-day workshop is being organised in baking and chocolate-making by a baking and confectionery expert for ladies at Lingarajapuram, off Hennur Main Road. For details call on phone 25461080.

Workshop on parenting
Prasanna Trust is organising a one day workshop on art of wise parenting like insights into Indian culture and heritage and their applications in daily lives on October 14 and a two day youth camp covering topics on leadership skills, creativity, decision making, public speaking, communications, people skills, goal setting, art of mind management and meditations on October 15 and 16. The venue is Indian School Institute, No 24, Benson Road.

Geography workshop
To promote geography Indian Institute of Geographical Studies (IIGS) is organising two programmes to help students discover the thrill and joy of geography:

“From here to there: Just follow my map", a fun mapping activity will be held on October 13. In this workshop, participants will: Get oriented, Learn about maps, Prepare a map, and Analyze their maps. On October 27 there will be a field workshop called "The world in Lal Bagh!"  Armed with a note pad, a pencil, and world maps, teams will be challenged to some international roaming within Lal Bagh. Designing dolls
Gaia Preschool and Childcare Centre is organising “Dolls by design” at R T Nagar. Using Lovelock's theory of Gaia as a living organism that creates a cyclic exchange, children and facilitators use imagination and fantasy to combine a range of everyday natural and made-made waste materials to design toys and creatures and that come alive with a personality of their own.
