PEOPLE'S PROBLEMS
City's thirst for water continues

Bad roads & garbage heaps
Ward no 78 in Kaveriyappa Layout is in a big mess. When it rains, the rainwater collects along with the garbage and clogs the roads and the drains nearby. We have given our complaints in writing to the area corporator but nothing has been solved yet.

Adding to the woes are the delay in road work opposite the Gurunanak Bhavan.

The pathetic potholed roads and the never ending traffic jams are a big menace.

I hope the authorities concerned will wake up to the problems and sort it out at the earliest.

S Anklesaria, Kaveriyappa Layout.

No water
The residents of Bapujinagar Extension (II stage) have been deprived of water supply for the last eight months.
Repeated complaints to the authorities seem to have fallen on deaf ears.
The residents have to wake up in the middle of the night, right in time, to fill drinking water. The water flows at low pressure.

The authorities have been neglecting this problem.

I hope they look in the matter seriously and sort it out at the earliest.

Chandrashekar, Bapujinagar.

Potholes aplenty
The Hennur Cross road is ridden with potholes and large pools of stagnant water thanks to the building being constructed beside the “Kairali Restaurant” on Kammanahalli. There are no  proper sewage connections on this road because of which sewage water flows out on to the roads. Although the road was recently tared the water logging damages the road all over again.

Peter S C Pothan, Horamavu.

Perennial water problem
Looks like the BWSSB in R T Nagar is not releasing water properly to CPV Block, 5th Main, 5th Cross Road, Ganganagar. The last 10 months has not seen a single drop of water in this part of the City. Despite the drastic shortage of water I still continue to pay Rs 73 per month toward water supply. Repeated complaints have borne no result.

I hope the authorities concerned will look into the problem and solve it at the earliest.

L P Sam, Ganganagar.
