CONG POWER IN TUMKUR CMC LIKELY
JD (S) gets upper hand in Tumkur dist  
In the 10 urban local body in Tumkur district JD (S) has got an upper hand. In 234 wards in the district JD (S) has bagged 103 wards and come first. Congress with 70 seats is in the second place and BJP with 28 is in the third. However, Congress is trying to bag power in Tumkur.
Who will capture the reins in Tumkur City Council ?  
Celebrations were seen among the Congress party workers after their party emerged with a majority in the results announced for the Tumkur CMC, here on Sunday.
JD(S) romps home in Chikkanayakanahalli  
The JD(S) scored a resounding victory in the municipal elections on Sunday. It has won in 17 wards in a total of 23 wards.
