CorpBank’s cash back offer 
Corporation Bank on Thursday launched a cash back scheme on the usage of the bank’s debit and credit card. This scheme is valid till January 14, 2008. During the period, cardholders will get one to five per cent cash back on domestic Point of Sale (POS) transactions. The cash back will accrue for each transaction separately, subject to a maximum of Rs 1,000 per card during the campaign period. The offer is not valid for petrol, railway bookings & ATM cash withdrawals. Continuing with its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, the Bank will donate Rs 5 to charitable institutions for the cause of underprivileged for every first swipe  during the period.

Microsoft’s new lab in Bangalore
Microsoft Corporation to address the interoperability needs of customers, on Thursday announced two new initiatives at the Microsoft Interoperability Conclave held in City. The two initiatives include, Microsoft’s first Interoperability Lab in India, designed to help customers envision and build solutions which are interoperable; Open Source Technology Programme designed to furtheir research and development of open source applications on the Windows platform in collaboration with leading engineering institutes in India.
