The deputy commissioner has issued a stringent warning against those indulging in black marketing of cooking gas cylinders. Including the city, the consumers are in a fix regarding the availability of the cylinders.

Hundreds of consumers gathered laid siege to a gas cylinder distribution centre near Mahatma Gandhi stadium on Thursday and protested against the improper distribution of the cylinders.

In spite of booking in advance there was a long waiting list and the orders were not being completed, was the ire of the consumers. However, the distributors were trying to convince the consumers that the fault did not lie at their end but the problem was with meeting the demand which was not being fulfilled. 

There is also the shortage of cylinders which has in turn led to distribution problems. The only way out is to stop the black marketing and set right the shortage problems.
