A seminar on ‘Gandhi Satyagraha 100 years,’ jointly organised by Tumkur History Forum, Baif Rural Development Organisation and Gandhi Memorial Fund is being held in Kunigal on Friday at Mahatma Gandhi Government PU College. This is the second seminar to be held in the district. The first one was held at Biligere in Tiptur taluk. The seminar which will begin at 11 am will be presided by Gandhi Memorial Fund secretary Prof H R Dasegowda.

Gandhian Satyavratha will inaugurate the programme. He will present a paper ‘Gandhi Satyagraha Meemamse.’ Thinker K Dorairaju will speak on Gandhi Satyagraha and the present and M V Vasu will present a paper on ‘A historical view of Gandhi Satyagraha.’Baif organisation’s Dr G N S Reddy, Tumkur History Forum’s C Yathiraju, principal T Gangadharaiah, L Narasimhaiah and Kodandaramu will be the chief guests. Consumers Cooperative Association president T N Srinivasagowda will be felicitated.
