 Sitar recital
Saptak is organising a music programme at Hayaka Sabha Bhavan in Malleswaram on October 14 at 5.30 pm. Master Ankush N Nayak (sitar recital), Dhananjay Hegde (Hindustani classical vocal) will perform at the concert. In another concert, Gurumurthy Vaidya (Tabla) and Vyasamurthy Katti (Harmonium) will perform.

Wood splendour
Gallery Sumukha is presenting ‘Mirror of the mind,’ recent wood cuts by Champa Sharath from October 15 to 24.

Photography exhibition
An exhibition of photographs by Swapan Nayak ‘Refugees in their own land’ and ‘Nowhere people’ will be till October 25 between 11 m and 6 pm at Sua House, 26/1, Kasturba Cross Road.

Exhibition of art
An exhibition of paintings by Uma Dayanidhi is on at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Art Complex, Kumara Krupa Road till October 17 between 10 am and 7 pm.

Dolls exhibition
‘Rukmini Apaharanam’ by artist Uma Nagaraj and ‘Ganga Avataranam’ by Deepika Dorai (both exhibition of dolls on a theme in still miniature art form) are on display at ‘Rasalok’ and is organised at Bimba The Art Hut, Jayanagar 5th Block from 12 th to 21st October 10.30 am –8.30 pm

Young artist’s show
Dharma arts presents a one-day exhibition of art works by Girish Kulkarni, from 11 am to 7 pm on October 14. The venue is the Time and Space Gallery on Lavelle Road.

Group show
Kahawa Gallery for Design and Welcome Art Gallery are hosting a group exhibition of artists from across the country at the gallery. 
The exhibition will be on till October 14 between 12 noon and 7 pm.

Scriptures on show
There will be an exhibition of paintings on the ‘The great Indian Scriptures’ at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Kumara Krupa road, between October 12 and 18.

Paintings on show
An  exhibition of paintings under the title ‘Dream Girl’, by Priya Ranjan and M. Chaitanya is on at Alliance Franchise, Thimmaiah Road, Vasanthnagar.

The  paintings can be viewed on October 13 between 11 am and 7 pm.

Nrithyotsav
Probal Gupta is performing at the Sharannavarathri Nrithyotsav on October 14 between 6:30 and 8:30 pm at Sri Kalyana Mahaganapati Temple at Kalyan Nagar.  For details contact, 25428163.

Kannada play
Chitra is staging the Kannada play, “Preethi paradata, nage rasadoota”  directed by Sandeep Joshi on October 14, 7 pm at Abhinaya Taranga, 5th Cross, A N Subbarao Rd, Hanumanthanagar.
