DASARA BONANZA
Rly staff to get 70-day wage as bonus
DH News Service, New Delhi:
This is the highest-ever bonus being paid to the employees for the good work done by them to take the Indian Railways to a new high.

Dasara bonanza for railway employees. The Centre on Thursday decided that lakhs of non-gazetted railway employees, barring RPF and RPSF personnel, would get productivity linked bonus equivalent to 70  days wages this year.

This is the highest-ever bonus being paid to the employees for the good work done by them to take the Indian Railways to a new high, Information and Broadcasting Minister P R Dasmunsi told reporters after a meeting of the Union Cabinet.

The Cabinet approved the proposal of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad to this effect,  he said.  The productivity-linked bonus equivalent to 70 days wages would be given to all eligible non-gazetted railway employees, excluding the personnel of RPF and RPSF,  for the 2006-07  fiscal on the basis of the formula approved by the Cabinet in September 2000, Dasmunsi added.
