Circle Rowdy-Born Fighter is surely for action lovers. Though the movie has nothing new to offer being a hotchpotch of several films, stunts are a real treat to watch. Three action directors - Thriller Manju, Different Danny and Kaurava Venkatesh have worked together to ensure that the film is not inferior in terms of action.
Tiger Prabhakar’s son Vinod Prabhakar has tried to retain his father’s action hero image in the film. In fact, his mannerisms and dialogue delivery resemble those of his father. He needs to come out of that image in order to find his own place in the industry.
The plot revolves around Nagaraj (Vinod), an orphan, who is victimised by Srikanta’s (Jai Jagadish) bad deeds. As usual, he decides to take revenge against Srikanta as law fails to provide justice. Hence, the movie is an ordinary one as neither narration nor the story impresses. Avinash and Shobhraj are at their best as police officers. Nandini (Deepa), debutant actress, has nothing much to do in this action movie.
Mukhyamantri Chandru as Revanna, an honest politician is effective. Umashri who plays the role of Jai Jagadish’s mother (Eramma) has done her job. For a change, Shakila has done quite a decent role.
Tennis Krishna has made an honest attempt in providing humour but does not succeed as the comedy scenes are not very appealing. Surprisingly, the title of the movie gives an impression that it is all about ‘rowdism’ but it is not so. The title should have been changed to attract all sorts of audience.
