Undeterred by Thursday’s blast at the world famous mosque of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti at Ajmer, hundreds of Muslims offered the Friday namaz on the eve of Eid-ul-fitr. No arrests have so far been made in the incident that claimed two lives and injured 17.
The shrine revered by people of all faiths was cordoned off by police on Thursday shortly after the blast around 6:15 pm. Central para-military forces have been deputed after the blast, keeping in view the forthcoming Eid festival, additional director, law and order Kanhaiya Lal told Deccan Herald.
He said no breakthrough has been made so far though a number of persons, locals as well as outsiders have been detained by police for investigation. He said the Friday namaz went on peacefully at the Ajmer dargah and other places in Rajasthan.
Central paramilitary forces have been deputed at all sensitive places. Thankfully, the Muslim community has shown great resilience, he stated. Of the two mobiles found from the site of blast, one sim card could not be retrieved while the other one was bought in Ajmer on Thursday afternoon itself by one of the deceased from Hyderabad.
