“The Governor made it clear that all decisions should be as per the rule book,” official sources said.
On some of controversial projects cleared by the previous Government, Mr Thakur is learnt to have told the respective department heads that he would issue specific directions to them at the appropriate time.
Under attack
The Kumaraswamy Government had come under attack from the opposition Congress for taking decisions on controversial projects like Nandagudi special economic zone, DLF Knowledge city in Bidadi, clearing the mono rail project under swiss challenge system and many others at a time when the State was facing political uncertainty.
Besides, the Government, which was reduced to minority after the BJP withdrew support, had transferred and promoted many officials.
The Congress had recently submitted a memorandum to the Governor to review them. Mr Thakur updated himself on the functioning of important departments like home, revenue, irrigation, panchayat and rural development, urban development, especially Bangalore, and others.
