Hosur businessman ends life in City lodge

Devadas, a 59-year-old tiles businessman from Hosur, was found dead in a lodge in Majestic, on Saturday.


Devadas, a 59-year-old tiles businessman from Hosur, was found dead in a lodge in Majestic, on Saturday.
The police said Devadas had checked into the lodge on September 25 and was seen moving around daily.

The lodge authorities got suspicious when he did not open the room door for more than 24 hours. When they broke open the door, he was found dead  in the bathroom. They also found a poison bottle in the room.

Teenager ends life

A teenager committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her Rajagopalanagar residence on Friday night.  
 The police said Rekha, 18, a garment company worker, had been pulled up by the manager for signing for her friend in the attendance register. She was hurt and took the extreme step.  She has stated this in her suicide note, police added.

 One commits suicide

One person committed suicide  in Byapanahalli railway police station limits on Saturday.

A 35-year-old man took an extreme step by jumping in front of a running train on the Bangalore-Chennai railway track.

In another case, a 33-year-old man's body was found on Chennai-Bangarpet railway line.

Homemaker dies

A homemaker succumbed to burns after her saree accidentally caught fire while cooking at her residence at Sajepalya in Kamakshipalya police station limits on Friday night. 

She has been identified as Asha (21) who was married to Narasimaiah recently.

Man murdered

Some unidentified assailants brutally hacked 34-year-old Vishnukumar to death at Kengeri Fort area on Saturday night.  Police suspect that his brothers might have murdered him over  property dispute.
