     Sunset in Flic en Flac

Beautiful sunset scene taken in the seaside town of Flic en Fac in Mauritius as a ship passes through in the foreground.

From a small fishing village, over the past 20 years, it has rapidly developed into an important tourist area. Flic en Flac is  in the district of Black River on the western coast of the island of Mauritius. The area has beautiful beaches that are protected by the surrounding coral reefs.

Mauritius is the most accessible island in the Indian Ocean. Though nestled up alongside Africa, it's actually more influenced by its British and French ties and predominantly Indian workforce.
