ON RLY LAND
Hotel may come up
Bangalore, DHNS:
The Rail Land Development Authority has reportedly given its nod for construction of a hotel on the Railway land near Okalipuram.

The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has reportedly given its nod for construction of a hotel on the Railway land near Okalipuram.

Sources in the Railway said the RLDA recently conducted a feasibility study for commercial development at 10 sites across India, including one in Bangalore. It has agreed to lease out 3 acres of land for building a hotel near Okalipuram, they said. “It is a prime land as it is very close to the Railway Station and the bus stand. Very soon we will invite offer of interest to lease out the land,” said DRM Mahesh Mangal.

According to sources, initially the land would be leased out for 30 years and if required, it would be renewed for another term of equal duration. Already several 24X7 restaurants have come up at the Railway stations in many parts of the country.
