State Cannot Supply More Water To TN
By A Staff Reporter
Bangalore, Oct 14

Karnataka cannot release any more water to Tamil Nadu without affecting the interests of its farmers in the Cauvery Basin, according to informed and reliable sources here.

The storage in the reservoirs have gone down drastically and the water available together with the expected inflow during the year is just sufficient to meet the requirements of Karnataka farmers in the Cauvery basin.

“Further release will definitely result in shortages to the detriment of  farmers and may lead to undesirable consequences,” they said.
