Rowdy attacked

Jayadeva, stated to be a rowdy, sustained severe injuries when members of a rival gang attacked him with lethal weapons on Sunday night in Sanjaynagar police station limits.


A 30-year-old person, stated to be a rowdy, sustained severe injuries when members of a rival gang attacked him with lethal weapons on Sunday night in Sanjaynagar police station limits.

The injured has been identified as Jayadeva, a resident of Lotta Gollarahalli. According to the police, Kumar and his five associates attacked Jayadeva near Srinivasa bar when he was returning home. They fled the scene after attacking him.

Firemen discharged

Three firemen who were injured in a fire accident at a lubricant shop at Nagasandra Circle on October 12, were discharged from the hospital on Monday.

Strangled to death

A 38-year-old homemaker, mother of three sons was strangled to death by her husband at her residence in Yelahanka 4th Phase on Monday.

Nagarathna was staying alone after her jobless husband Venugopal started ill-treating her. Venugopal landed at her house and picked a fight. In a fit of anger, he strangled her to death. He stuffed the body in a gunny bag and pushed it under a cot and fled. The incident came to light when their first son Anand returned home.
