MONTHLY MEET FOR KSRTC EMPLOYEES
Bangalore, DHNS:

“Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) drivers and conductors can play a major role in evoking interest in Kannada language and culture among non-Kannadigas,” said litterateur Dr PV Narayana.

He was speaking at the inauguration of ‘Thingala Sangama’ — a monthly get-together programme started for KSRTC and BMTC employees by KSRTC Kendra Kannada Kriya Samithi, in Bangalore on Monday.

“Kannada is a rich language with a colourful literary heritage, and every Kannadiga can contribute to spread its essence”, he added. Samithi’s state president V C Channegowda said the programme is designed to be a monthly get-together of the Transport Corporations’ workers, where programmes relating to Kannada language, literature and culture will be organised. The programme will be held at the Kannada Kriya Samithi office every month.
