Manorakhitha Bhantheji of Jethavana Boudhavihara has said, poverty and hungry are the root cause of all sufferings and that democracy is a powerful instrument for freedom.
He was speaking at ‘Dr B R Ambedkar’s 51st Dhamma Deeksha celebrations’ organised by the Babasaheb Dr B R Ambedkar Studies and Research Centre.
On this occasion, Bangalore University Vice Chancellor Prof H A Ranganth spoke about the progress, coexistence of humanity and commitment in view of Dr B R Ambedkar. Dr M Ramanjaneyulu, director of the centre, added that Dr B R Ambedkar embraced Buddhism after careful study of all religions. He also said that Buddhism is a humanistic and man centred religion and its path leads to liberation.
