The body of a woman was found in a pond at Kumbhashi Koravadi near Tekkatte under the City police station limits on Sunday night. However, residents have raised a strong doubts that the incident might be a pre-planned act.
The woman who has been brutally murdered has been identified as Paddu Mogerthi (59), the wife of one Sheena Marakala of Koravadi. Marks of a knife on the neck and also a rope wrapped around explain the incident, while the jewellry in ear has been damaged. There are also injuries on the chest and arms.
However, the reason for the murder is yet to be unearthed. Jewelleries of the woman have been left with the body only. And the personal records of the deceased speak well about her character too.
Speaking to Deccan Herald, Kundapur Circle Inspector Valentine D’Souza expressed his confidence that the culprits could be traced within the next two days.
