Manipal Institute of Technology is organising the 37th annual convention and national seminar of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) on December 17, 18 and 19 as a part of golden jubilee celebrations of the Institute, informed MIT Director S S Pabla.
Addressing media persons, he informed about the topics to be discussed during the conference which included aggressive industry academia interaction, innovation and technology transfer, role of regulatory bodies in technical education, role of alumni in strengthening technical education, ethics in professional education, dynamic curriculum up gradation and so on.
The ISTE is a national, professional, non profit making society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 with a view to advance the cause of technical education in 1941, informed Brig Pabla. This convention will mark the closing ceremony of the golden jubilee celebrations of MIT.
Former Pro-Chancellor Manipal University and Principal MIT P V Bhandary and President ISTE N R Shetty were present at the meet.
