District Superintendent of Police has made elaborate security arrangement to maintain law and order during Talacauvery Theerthodbhava scheduled to be held at Talacauvery and Bhagamandala on October 17 and 18.

SP Dr K V Trilokchandra has deployed police officials . The number of officials to be deployed to provide security there are mentioned below: DySP-3, CPI-8, PSI-23, ASI-36, Police and women police-460, Home Guards-250, DAR batallion-4, KSRP batallion-2, Fire squad-2 in addition to wireless personells, Crime Investigation Squad, forest unit officers.

SP informed that necessary actions have been taken to provide parking facility and for the smooth flow of traffic during the Talacauvery Teerthodbhava, which will occur at 8.20 am on October 18.

Accordingly, all the KSRTC buses coming from Cherambane road through Madikeri will reach Sangama and then park near Karike junction. The devotees going to Talacauvery have been provided KSRTC vehicle facility from the bus stand near Bhagamandala Market.

Private buses can be parked on one side of the road from Karike junction to Karike and the road that goes towards Ayangeri-Napoklu. Heavy vehicles can be parked at Bhagamandala Sangama Bus stand and Talacauvery vehicle stand.

SP informed that parking has been prohibited from Karike junction to Talacauvery bus stand, vehicles from Ayangeri will not be allowed to Sangama.

He said that the vehicles which are found parked on prohibited area will lifted promptly using cranes and legal action will be taken against those violate the rules.
