Government has implemented new rules for legalising the illegal buildings. Applications should be filed by the end of December for legalising the building, said Commissioner Narayanappa.
Addressing a press meet, he said those who have violated the rules of Karnataka Nagara Gramanthara Yojane 2007 Act, there is scope for legalising the house of commercial complexes.
He said the cost of the application is Rs 50. Interested can file an applications with all the documents within three months of the passing of the notification. The fee for regularising the buildings should be paid through demand draft drawn in favour of Town Planing Officer, Project Officer or Chikmagalur CMC.
The application should clearly mention about the fee paid. The application will be rejected if the information provided is false. In this case fee will not reimbursed. However, the land belonging to state or centre, national highways, bypass road will not be legalised.
Mr Narayanappa said a committee has been constituted under the leadership of Commissioner to assess the applications. If the illegal structures are not legalised then water supply and electricity supply will be suspended.
Survey
Nearly 80 per cent on the survey on the properties in the CMC limits have been completed. 10,873 illegal properties have been detected. This include 1,680 roads.
Computerisation
He said under Nirmala Nagara Yojane, property, birth and death records have been computerised. The computerised records will be given after one month.
