ICICI Bank’s home service
ICICI Bank, on Tuesday, announced Bank@Home services for all savings and current account customers residing in India. This service will offer customer ease and convenience to avail banking services at their doorstep.
The Bank@Home service will be available to customers across 28 locations and 294 branches. The services being offered to the customer through Bank@Home includes cash pick-up and delivery, cheque pick-up, demand draft and pay order delivery. Customers can place request for Bank@Home service through phone or internet banking.
HCL’s 23 pc rise in net income
HCL Technologies on Tuesday in New Delhi posted 23.3 per cent increase in its net income on y-o-y to Rs 308.4 crore for the first quarter ended September 30 on the back of robust outsourcing deals and growth in the number of new clients. The company’s revenue for the September quarter was also up at 23.9 per cent on year-on-year at Rs 1,709.2 crore. For the last 12 months, the revenue stood at Rs 6,363.4 crore.
Nayar is HCL Tech’s new CEO
Shiv Nadar, Founder and Chairman, HCL Technologies, announced in New Delhi on Tuesday that Vineet Nayar, President HCL Technologies will assume the CEO chair with effect from October 16, 2007. Shiv Nadar will be the Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of HCL Technologies.
Oracle wins award 2nd time
Oracle, on Monday, announced in Bangalore that it has won the “Best Asia Pacific Supply Chain Software Solution Provider” award at the regional SCMLogistics World 2007 - Supply Chain Excellence Awards in Singapore. Oracle has won this top award for the second year running. The Supply Chain Excellence Awards is the only pan-regional event recognising supply chain excellence for SCM practitioners in manufacturing, logistics industries and SCM solution providers in APAC.
Award for Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw
Ms. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairman and Managing Director, Biocon Limited has been honoured with the ‘Veuve Clicquot Initiative For Economic Development For Asia’ award, announced the company on Tuesday. The award for economic development was introduced for the first time in 2007. Ms Shaw has been nominated as the first winner for Asia and was presented the award at Reims, near Paris over a two-day function.

Infosys BPO gets ranked number 1
Infosys BPO announced on Tuesday in Bangalore that NelsonHall, a leading BPO analyst, has positioned the company’s securities processes outsourcing operations in the leaders quadrant in its report, ‘Securities Processing BPO Assessment and Forecast’ released in May 2007. According to the report, Infosys leads the offshore vendors in the securities processing services market in 2006 with estimated revenues of $20 million.
Kotak Bank’s Gold Debit card
Kotak Mahindra Bank announced in Mumbai on Tuesday the launch of the Kotak Gold debit card, a ‘fully loaded’ visa debit card with unlimited free access to all the visa ATMs in India and worldwide.
The card has Rs 1.75 lakh per day purchase limits and Rs 1.75 lakh cash withdrawal limit, said the company press release.
