Buying and selling products on the internet has now become a common phenomenon. As we move forward, services are also being bought, sold and negotiated online. With such an approach small businessess and freelancers from anywhere in India can get access to global markets and work on international projects. The system can even be used to manage and track projects, and even look to build and grow relationships on the online market place.
One such online ‘services marketplace’ is the nineMotion Systems website. The site provides a set of tools for small businesses where they can register, showcase their services and submit proposals using step-by-step templates and processes. The buyers can choose the right providers from anywhere in the world may it be a small town in India, or a city in US. They can even compare proposals from providers, decide the terms of contract and delivery and seek out the best price for the services they require.
“Answering specific questions and writing down requirements on the site gives buyers a clear idea of what they want. Half of the work is done when you are clear about your ideas,” says Deepak Vinchhi, CEO, nineMotion Systems.
Design, analysis
Some of the services currently being offered on the site are website designing, thermal design and analysis, optical designing, embedded software services, Japanese translation work etc. “At present our services are limited and we are looking to provide good quality rather than quantity. We will increase our portfolio of offerings as and when they are required,” informs Bala Girisaballa, Vice President, nineMotion Systems.
To maintain the quality of services nineMotion is giving a certificate to the providers. “Buyers can be assured about the quality and timely delivery of services about providers as they will be certified,” feels Mr Girisaballa.
For the pricing after the deal is finalised, about 5 per cent of the project deal is to be paid as fee, by the providers. Also providers have earned about $ 20,095 from the site till now, Mr Vinchhi informs.
