Man dies in accident
Malur, dhns: A person was hit by a two-wheeler and died on the spot on the outskirts of the city on Sunday. He was on his way to visit his daughter.
The dead has been identified as Sampangi Reddy (45).
He was a resident of Kurabooru, near Bangarpet. He was on his way to visit his daughter, who worked in the nearby brick kiln and met with the accident. He died on his way to the hospital. The police have registered a case and the investigation is on.
Two futile robbery attempts
Bangarpet, dhns: Robbery attempts were made in two houses at Shanthi Nagar in the city and the robbers escaped after their attempts were rendered futile. This incident took place on Monday afternoon.
Four unidentified persons tried breaking the doors of BEML employee Sri Ram and Sridhar, a retired BEML employee. However, the residents of the area got alert at the right time and the robbers fled.
However, the identity of the robbers has not yet been confirmed. However, it has been ascertained that they spoke in Kannada and the city police are acting on the complaint lodged by Sridhar and Sri Ram.
Due to robbery happening at broad daylight the residents of the area are ridden with fear.
Man charred to death
KGF, dhns: A person was charred to death when the house in which he was living caught fire in Bourilalpet under Robertsonpet police limits on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Babu (30), a resident of Bourilalpet. Babu was filling the stove with kerosene and when it spilled over, the house accidentally caught fire.
Though the fire brigade officials tried to extinguish the fire it was futile as the house was completely burnt by that time.
The Police department which swung in to rapid action and took the injured Babu to government hospital, due to the absence of doctors in the night shift and improper medical treatment, Babu died.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
