India had another bad day at the Gachibowli swimming pool, while Russia consolidated their position winning two more gold medals in the Military World Games on Tuesday.
Yury Prilukov won the 400M freestyle in 3:50.96 while Nikolay Skvortsov added another, timing 1:57.43 in the 200M butterfly.
India didn't have a finalist for the second day running, with their challengers coming up short in the heats. Arun Kumar ended seventh with 4: 25.44 in the 400M freestyle while Sunil Kumar (1:04.28) and P M Samota (1:05.93) were fifth and sixth in the 100M backstroke heats. The Indian relay team also exited early, finishing fourth in the 4x200 freestyle heats in a time of 8:17.90.
